Texaco Car of the Decades Contest
09/15/2009
Whether a stock collectible, a heavily modified street rod, a high-performance import or just your daily driver, Texaco is asking for your help in finding cool cars and the people who love them. With 11 categories starting with the 1903 founding of Texaco up through the new millennium, the Car Show Contest has a category for every car enthusiast. Browse through the hundreds of cars that have been entered on the web site. Like the 1989 Chevrolet Super Stepside. This beauty is equipped with 14 speakers, three monitors, a 10 disc CD player, and rear view cameras. The truck also has flamethrowers, nitrous airbag suspension and rolls on 20/24 inch wheels from yours truly, RNR Custom Wheels & Tires. This truck has been sponsored at SEMA in the Chassis Tech booth, and was later choose to headline at the World of Wheels circuit.
Registrants get to vote for their favorites through October 12 (27 days left to vote). The cars are sorted into decades, starting with 1903-1909 and ending with 2000-present. Find cars you like and to go the details page, where you can find out more and vote on a scale of 1-10. Once the decade winners are announced, they go before a panel of judges to determine the Grand Prize "Editor's Choice" award. Get over to Texaco Car of the Decades and note for your favorite ride!
