RNR Wheels & Tires

We Didn't Re-Invent the Wheel... Just The Wheel Business.

FAQs

Please feel free to post questions to store locations if you don't find what you are looking for here.

  1. What is RENT-N-ROLL?
    • RENT-N-ROLL is a program that allows you to pay for the wheels and/or tires you want in easy weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments with no credit hassles.
  2. Can I Buy instead of Rent?
    • Of course. We offer the lowest cash prices on wheels or tires and have a huge selection of both new and previously rented merchandise.
  3. What do I need to get started?
    • Simply bring in a valid drivers license, current pay stubs, utility bill, vehicle registration and your social security card.
  4. What brands do you carry?
    • Brands vary by location, but we carry just about every major brand in both wheels and tires. A few examples are: Goodyear, Michelin, Pirelli, Dub, KMC, Lexani and many more... If you have a favorite, call a location near you to find out if they have it available.
  5. How should I care for my wheels?
    • We recommend treating your wheels' finish just like your cars' finish. Wash and wax with a cleaner made for automobiles when the wheels are cool. Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or polishing compounds. Beware of automatic car washes. Some washes use acid cleaners either before or during the wash to remove dirt and grime. Others use stiff brushes for cleaning wheels and tires. Both of these processes could harm your wheel's finish. Ask the employees or manager of the car wash about their equipment and procedures before entering the wash. Most importantly, enjoy your wheels!
  6. What can you tell me about RNR?
    • RNR/RENT-N-ROLL opened the doors to their first location in Tampa, FL October 2000. Currently there are over 60 stores nationwide. RNR offers to the customer a place with skilled employees that are trained to service high-end custom wheels as well as your traditional passenger tire. RNR continues to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to customer relations and professional service technicians. Many locations are franchise stores right in your community and look forward to building a lasting relationship to continue to offer you outstanding service.
  7. Why would I want nitrogen put in my tires?
    • For tire inflation, there’s nothing better than nitrogen. Nitrogen provides better maintenance of tire pressure which maximizes...Fuel Economy, Handling, Safety & Reliability, Tire Life...and it’s better for the environment!
  8. Is nitrogen dangerous?
    • Absolutely Not. 78.1% of the air we breathe is nitrogen. Nitrogen is a non-flammable, inert gas which does not support combustion, as oxygen does. Nitrogen will not cause any increased chance of an explosion or fire during a vehicle accident. Therefore, nitrogen is actually much safer than compressed air for virtually any tire application - and one reason why it is used by commercial aircraft and professional race teams around the world.

Dear Martin, I am sorry that you had such an unpleasant experience at the store in Jonesboro! I am also surprised as that particular store has a great reputation for customer service !
Apparently there was or is a misunderstanding of the agreement . In a rental agreement the customer always has the choice to renew the agreement or return the product . If neither of these happens and the customer does not make arrangements with the store on when they can solve the problem , there is an assumption that the customer does not intend to pay and in that case in most states Andrew pointed out , the staff has an obligation to inform the customer that they do a legal right to recover their product ! Not having heard the conversation , I would hope that the caller was simply pointing out to your wife as opposed to intent to threaten her. That would be the proper thing to do . Again I did not hear the conversation but that is the normal way we do business ! We do not advise or condone our account to threaten their customer however we do advise them to explain the poosible consequences of failure to return rental product ! I know the manager of that store and you will find Paul a very resonable man ! I would advise you to go in and speak to Paul and try to come to an understanding . I believe he will find a way to make you a satisfied customer . I hope this can get resolved and turn you back into a satisfied customer.

Larry. I hate to break the news to you but just like a car note or rent, you always have a way to pay it. If you only deal in cash, get a prepaid card and load it with your monthly or weekly amounts and allow them to take it off. Granted they were in the wrong for doing that BUT if you did not A: Keep in contact to let them know the situation, B: Made no attempt to make the payment or have someone make the payment for you then YOU are held accountable. You have THEIR property valued above 100 dollars which is typically from state to state a value which is PROSECUTABLE by LAW as STOLEN PROPERTY.

I work as a contractor and I am more than 2 hours away and typically either work out of state or I'm more than an hour away from my own home BUT, if I feel I am late, I talk to them, let them know ahead of time, and ALWAYS have a prepaid card with the amounts needed on it. And the lawyer will tell you the same thing. I have a deep distrust of banks, but when I got a loan through a dealership with NO grace period, they tried repossessing my truck when I wasn't even a day late, and after getting harassing phone calls and whatnot, I was told from a few lawyers that if you are late and they are not notified they are obligated by law and company policy to treat the items as stolen of which you will be prosecuted but had you given them a heads up and made an attempt to pay the payment, whether it was a quarter, half, or at least let them know you would be a day late, they would work with you, but because you didn't, you're liable.

Again, you're at fault.

This is how RNR does  bussiness,  I rented some tire's from the Jonesboro Ar, location, and first let me say I was late a week, I work 12 hour days and live 45 minutes away, so when I get off work they are closed, and when I go to work they are closed.  After a week being late My wife got a phone call from someone who said that they were an investagator and  that if I did not have my payment there by 7 oclock that he was going to put out an warrant for my arrest, My wife told him that I had the money but was at work, He told her that it didnt matter that if I was not there at 7 oclock that he was going to get a warrant for my arrest for stealing there tire's. My wife call my work and told me what he said to her, she was really upset. I took off work and drove up there and made the payment. First let me say that I made the payment because I owed it to them, not because he sad that he was going to issue a warrant for me.  If at the time If it was possible and I didnt have to go back to work I would have taken the tire's off and took them back to them, which is what I am going to do before my next payment is due anyway.  I am also going to cantact a lawyer and see if there is any legal action I can take for the threating phone call.  If this is how RNR does bussiness than I want no part of it.  Like I said I was 7 days late ,  and they threaten you with putting you in jail.  Scare the hell out of you wife, and call all your references and tell them that you are going to be arrested because you havn't made a payment in 7 days.   I guess they think because you rent tire's and just didnt buy them you can't afford to do anything to them no matter what you do. I rented the tire's because at the time it seemed like a good Idea not putting our a large sum of money at one time, and still pay it off in a reasonable time . Because I was 7 days late I wouldn't even had a problem with them comming to get  them, but  to threaten you with jail after only 7 days  is a little over the top.  Like I said I am going to talk to a lawyer and see if this is a practice that is legal.  But like I said they will be getting there tires back,

I went down to RNR yesterday and checked out some wheels and tires for my 01 Ranger. Thought that 20'' wheels would of been nice, but after seeing the price, I was shocked. Instead I was referred to 18 inch Ravage wheels with spankin' new tires for half the price and affordable monthly amounts that looked better than the wheels I picked out! The service was quick too! They had me check the wheels out next to my truck, said if I wanted or not, I said yes and before I was in the door my truck was already on a lift with a new wheel and tire on. And graciously and rather quickly the mechanic pointed out an issue that my dealership mechanic had missed for the past 3 years I've owned the vehicle. Amazing service!

Dear Lou , if you are set up on the pay by phone method your authorization would normally include any late fees if you renewed your agreement late . You should contact your store manager if you have a question about the amount or if you feel that these fees were incorrect !
Thanks for doing business wit RNR !!

Andrew, generally speaking the Rent to own program is only available within a 20 mile radius of an approved location . We do have financing available that might work for provided you have some credit history ! Check with the store in regard to their finance options !
Thanks for shopping RNR!!

I live about 50 or so miles away from the Eastgate location, stopped in yesterday to get some pricing on a set of wheels and tires, when ''Jon's'' question was answered, service area means what exactly? The RNR program is not applicable? And also, my fiance was curious to ask if unemployment insurance is an acceptable income, she was laid off but also works but only wants to use UI for purchases that arn't a ''necessity'' as she says.

I live in Garden City Ga, and am looking for some 22's for my 99 olds alero. I am interested in the rent to own option. What is the down payment for Chrome wheels and tires usually? I just want a good idea so I know what I need to make it happen.

What happens when a payment is late?

Dear Beth I spoke to Ken Mashburn who is one of the owners of the franchise . He explained to me that the company that they were buying their tire warranties from had raised the price to a point that it was unreasonable for them to continue selling the warranty !
Once again I must remind you that no warranty would have covered your tire under the circumstances anyway as it would not be a valid claim since the incident occurred in your yard and not a DOT ROAD!!
That being the case, the manager did offer to help with a large discount for a replacement tire !!
To be frank there is not a tire dealer in the country or a warranty company that would have covered this loss !
Accidents do happen and I am sorry this happened to you but I feel that the store tried very hard to do the right thing in this case under the circumstances !!
This franchisee has an excellent reputation for doing the right thing as do we nationwide !!
Thank you for choosing us and I hope you will reconsider using us in the future!
